Aims to refresh existing functionality to create an experience that better reflects the rich experience within the mall while being more engaging and modern.
We kicked-off the project with an intensive four-week design sprint to refresh the look & feel of the current application, keeping the same backend functionality. We wanted to have a well thought through experience that not only looks great but provides tangible values, makes it a lifestyle experience, and entice users to visit The Dubai Mall.
I was involved for the The Dubai Mall mobile app redesign while I was at Creative Chaos as a Product Design Lead, and later at Emaar as a Lead Product Designer. My core responsibilities are as follows:
We successfully launched the new TDM app just before new year, credit goes to the all-around day & night hard work from each of the team members. We received a very exciting response from our users when we made announcement on the World's tallest tower Burj Khalifa. We continued working on product enhancements and new feature launches based on user needs and in-mall customers primary research and interviews.
A modular loader which enables TDM to display the diversity of the mall as a lifestyle vs a destination. The range would cover shopping, dining, entertainment within TDM. Both video and static imagery.
